Karachi (November 11, 2017): Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has changed its scheduled march from Aisha Mazil to ‘Yadgar-e-Shuhada’ after police and the paramilitary Rangers sealed routes leading to the monument.
As the routes were sealed by police and law enforcement agencies, a spokesman of MQM-P said that only its chief Farooq Sattar and members of its Rabita Committee will visit ‘Yadgar-e-Shuhada’ today at 12:00 pm.
On Friday, MQM-P chief Farooq Sattar in a video statement posted on his Twitter account told his party’s workers and “Haq Parast” people that his party would march from Ayesha Manzil to the “Martyrs’ Monument” on Saturday at 3pm.
“The MQM will never forget the sacrifices of our martyrs,” he said.
However, on Saturday morning the party changed its plant to march upto the ‘Yadgar-e-Shuhada’ in Azizabad.
A party spokesman in a statement said that only MQM-P chief and members of its Rabita Committee will visit the Yadgar.
Time of the visit was also changed and now the visit will be paid at 12:00 pm today.
