KARACHI: Pakistan Army had rendered its full cooperation to Karachi city administration after it had sought the help of the armed forces in wake of the havoc that rain had wreaked on the city, on Thursday.
According to a statement from the ISPR, Karachi city administration had asked for assistance from Pakistan Army.
The statement further said that Pakistan Army would its best to bring the situation back to normal for the people of Karachi.
Several parts of the city were left inundated and various nullahs overflowed on Thursday after rain lashed across the metropolis.
At least 12 people have been killed in separate accidents caused by the torrential rain.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal also directed Sindh Rangers to join relief and rescue operations in the city. – SAMAA
