Pakistan Retain Seventh Slot in ICC Test Rankings


Web Desk(November 15, 2017): Pakistan retained seventh position in  International Cricket Council(ICC) rankings while Azhar Ali only Pakistan’s batsman in top-10 list.

India would be able to consolidate its top slot after getting 3-0 victory ahead Test Series against Sri Lanka in ICC Test Rankings.At this  moment, India and South Africa  grabbed first and second slot with 125 and 111 points respectively, while England, New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan placed third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh receptively.However, Aussie batsman Steve Smith has retained top slot whereas Joe Root, Kane Williamson, Cheteshwar Pujara, David Warner are also included in top-five batsmen list.  Azhar Ali only Pakistan’s batsman who grabbed last slot in top-10 list. Beside this Virat Kohli currently on sixth position and would have an opportunity to secure top-five slot.In addition, England James Anderson and Indian Ravindra Jadeja grabbed first and second position in bowling list respectively.Jadeja could achieve top-slot through best performance in series from Anderson and Shakib Al-Hasan in all-round ranking while  Kagiso Rabada, Ashwin and Rangana Herath grabbed third, fourth and fifth position respectively.
