Pakistan Slips To Fourth in Global Terrorism Index 


Islamabad (August 29, 2017): A new report issued by National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) claimed that Pakistan slipped to ranked four from three in global terrorism index.

The NACTA report said that the accounts of millions of rupees have been frozen and banned the passports of several suspects.

According to NACTA, 8333 individuals were put in fourth schedule. It said that 97 percent decline have also been witnessed in street crimes in Karachi.

“Under the National Action Plan (NAP) 98.3 million SIMs have been blocked, 426 terrorism related incidents reported during the year and several hardcore terrorists were executed,,” the head of NACTA Ahsan Ghani told.

He mentioned that 1353 cases registered over hate speeches and 17000 cases filed over violation of loudspeaker laws across the Pakistan.He said that large scale operations with the cooperation of provinces will be conducted to end the armed militia.
