Islamabad (August 30, 2017): Foreign Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif on Wednesday said that Pakistan had made it clear to US to recognize its sacrifices in the ongoing war on terror.
Speaking in the National Assembly during a debate on US President Trump’s new policy for Afghanistan and South Asia Asif said that Pakistan had rendered great sacrifices in war against terrorism, adding that US was told to recognize and acknowledge our sacrifices.
He said that the international community must realize the challenges being faced by Pakistan and look into to the problems and challenges at international level.
He added that no country had rendered such sacrifices as of Pakistan and US should acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices.
Asif said that Pakistan was not demanding money from US rather it has the stance from day one that its sacrifices be accepted and acknowledged.
He added that Pakistan had decided not to talk of money.
On this occasion, PTI MNA Shireen Mazari on a point of order said that points of Kashmir and nuclear issues should also be included in the draft of the resolution. Asif agreed with Mazari, saying that there were few suggestions under consideration to be included in the policy statement.
He assured that the two point raised by the member would also be included in the statement.
