Panama Leaks: JI Chief for Across the Board Accountability

Islamabad (July 17, 2017): Jamaat-e-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq on Monday called for accountability of all those, whose names have appeared in Panama Leaks scandal.

Talking to media outside Supreme Court, Haq said that he lauded the Panama JIT for doing a good job in just 60 days.

He said that the national had rendered sacrifices for restoration of the independent judiciary.

Haq said that corruption stories were spread all over the pages of JIT report.

Underlining the need for across the board accountability, he said that if some big fish were put behind the bars it will sent a right message to all and sundry.

He flayed the government for what he said hurling threats at JIT and the judiciary. He added that the court was being threaded even today of laying siege around it.

It is to be mentioned here that the Supreme Court will resume hearing of the Panama case today following the submission of JIT report in the court on July 10, 2017.
