Passing out ceremony: 30th Air War course concludes

KARACHI: The convocation ceremony of 30th Air War Course was held at Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air War College, Faisal. The ceremony was presided over by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman.
Air Chief Marshal Aman congratulated the graduating officers on their successful completion of the course. He expressed confidence that the knowledge and skills acquired at the Air War College would assist the participants effectively contribute towards the requirements of national security.

“PAF has accepted every challenge and demonstrated remarkable heights of professional excellence. Indeed, high-quality training has been the greatest enabler of this excellence and our training institutions have contributed immensely in this regard,” he said.

“As senior military professionals, you must remain abreast of contemporary geo-political and strategic environments in order to be better prepared to [provide] a befitting response to current as well as emerging security situation challenges,” he said.

Air Chief Marshal Aman added that a high level of cooperation and synergy exists between the sister services.

It is heartening to note that the college has made great contributions to inculcate its graduates with emerging trends in doctrine, strategy and air power employment to face modern challenges with confidence and ingenuity, the air chief commented.

A PAF cadet’s soaring ambition fulfilled

Air Vice-Marshal Pirzada Kamaluddin Ahmed Siddiqui and the Air War College commandant presented the course report. Beside this, officers from PAF, Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy and officers from 12 friendly countries – Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe – attended the ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by various high ranking civil and military officers and diplomats from different countries.

PAF Air War College is a premier institution of the PAF, where mid-level officers of the country’s armed forces and friendly countries are prepared for the assumption of key command and staff appointments.
