LAHORE: Actress Noor’s husband Wali Hamid filed an application with an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), seeking mediation over the dissolution of marriage (khula) petition his wife had filed.
He requested the committee to refer the case titled “Sarah Bukhari versus Qasim Wali” to the ADR for an amicable solution.
However, the ADR sought a reply from respondent, Noor, to see if she is even wants mediation in the first place.
Qasim said he wanted to save the marriage and repute of both the families. Qasim Wali, who is recognised as Wali Hamid in the showbiz industry, told the court that he and his wife Sarah Bukhari, famously known as Noor, tied the knot and had been living happily for the last two years. The respondent filed a suit for the dissolution of the marriage on the basis of some misunderstandings. Qasim said he was willing to reconcile with the respondent on mutual terms and conditions or solve matters through talks.
“I want to live with my wife in the same way we were living before our separation,” he said. He appreciated the steps taken by the Lahore High Court to set up ADRs at which matters of married couples were solved through alternate ways rather than going through legal implications.
Noor had filed for dissolution of marriage (khula) from her fourth husband Wali Hamid Ali Khan. The actress had married three times before tying the knot with Wali around two years ago. Noor had filed dissolution of marriage (khula) from her fourth husband Wali Hamid Ali Khan.
