Lahore (August 11, 2017): Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that people were being urged uprising against the Supreme Court.
The ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s rally called off at ‘Asr’ prayer as the rally failed to get people’s attention, Qadri said and added that the masses endorsed the court verdict.
PAT leader said in a statement that SC five judges disqualified Nawaz Sharif unanimously. He said PM’s five-year tenure is interlinked to complying with the constitution. He said the five-year tenure was not an ‘Iddah’ which is invariable.
Earlier, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said on Tuesday that Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif are behind the killing of 14 party workers in Model Town three years ago.
He said Lahore High Court (LHC) judge Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi’s report held Punjab government responsible for killing as many as 14 PAT workers in Lahore’s Model Town area on June 17, 2014.
