ISLAMABAD: A petition has been filed in Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) challenging the sentence given to former army chief and president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf.
A social worker Iqbal Kazmi has insisted in his petition to review jurisdiction of the special court as per law and constitution and prayed to the court to declare its formation clashing with the law.
In his petition he also contended that the special court verdict has created a chaos and crisis like situation in the country adding that the special court doesn’t enjoy powers to take action under the article 6 of the constitution.
Regarding the para 6 of the verdict he said that dragging the human body is a contempt of the human body while the verdict also hurt image of the judiciary.
The federal government, law ministry and interior ministry have been made respondent in the case.
