Dammam (April 16, 2018): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had a meeting with Saudi King Shah Salman in Saudi city of Dammam on Monday.
The meeting took place at the concluding ceremony of Gulf Shield-1 military exercise as both the leaders discussed the bilateral ties and regional security situation.Earlier, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa inspected the exercises of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) in Saudi Arabia.
The defecne minister Khurram Dastgir was also presented on the occasion.
The military and civil leadership of Pakistan exclusively invited on the concluding ceremony of the war exercise as 24 countries have taken part in the exercises.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reached Dammam on Sunday on a two-day official visit to witness a joint tri-services military exercise, ‘Gulf Shield-1’ being held along the east coast of Saudi Arabia.A press release from PM Office said the prime minister is accompanied by Federal Minister for Defence Khurram Dastagir and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Upon his arrival at King Abdulaziz Airbase Dhahran, PM Abbasi was received by the Governor Prince Saud bin Nayef Al Saud. Ambassador Khan Hasham bin Saddique and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf al-Maliki also welcomed the Pakistani convoy.
