Riyadh (April 15, 2018): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi along with the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa have arrived in Saudi Arabia to inspect the exercises of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC).
Alongside the inspection of the military exercise, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa will hold important meetings with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during the trip.Meanwhile, the second stage of the Joint Gulf Shield military exercise has started in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with 24 countries to increase its defense cooperation with the leading world nations.
Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz has invited the leading countries to participate in the “Joint Gulf Shield” military exercise. The US, UK, UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Turkey are among the other participants of the month-long exercise. The exercise includes units from army, navy, air force and the Special Forces.
Prince Muhammad Bin Salman in a message said the purpose of the “Joint Gulf Shield” military exercise is to maintain security and stability within the participating countries.
He said it also aimed at strengthening security, coordination and cooperation of the member countries in the military field.
