Islamabad (August 29, 2017): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi chaired Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet on Tuesday at Prime Minister’s House.
The ECC discussed a number items on the agenda of the Committee’s meeting.
The committee approved subsidy on wheat supply to Gilgit-Baltistan, besides discussing allocation of gas from Makori field and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Air Mix projects.
The Committee also took up a report on margins for oil companies and dealers.
The Committee also approved release of Pakistan Steel Mills’ employees’ two-month salaries. The employees have reportedly not been paid salaries for five months.
Soon after the ECC meeting, the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec).
Several mega development projects were approved in the meeting. The Ecnec approved installation of 132 KV grid stations and electricity supply projects.
The body also approved revision of PM Heath Programme, besides Chitral-Garam Chashma Road, Bannu Road and Pindighape Kohat Raod and other projects.
