ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday met with the Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrehman Al-Thani to discuss matters pertaining to the region.
Nawaz Sharif and the Qatari Foreign Minister held discussions on the subject of the recent Gulf diplomatic crisis after Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and UAE cut ties with Qatar, cutting all land, air and sea travel with the country.
According to details, the Qatari Foreign Minister urged Pakistan to play a part in diffusing the Gulf diplomatic crisis.
The Prime Minister assured the foreign diplomat that Pakistan would play its part in diffusing the crisis and finding a solution.
“We want a peaceful resolution of the crisis between the two nations,” said Nawaz Sharif.
