Rawalpindi (August 9, 2017): As the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is all set to leave for Lahore via the historic Grand Trunk (GT) Road today, his party’s local chapters have set-up reception camps all along the route he will take to reach Lahore.
PML-N workers and supporters have set up reception camps on GT Road at different spot in Sargodha, Gujranwala, Jehlum, Sarai Alamgair and other cities and towns.
The PML-N workers and supporters have thronged the camps and waiting for their leader to accord him warm welcome.
In Gujranwala, scores of camps have been set up along the GT Road by PML-N local chapter and a larger numbers of people are present in these camps, who used to raise pro-Nawaz slogans.
Such camps have also been established in Sarghoda.
The PML-N local chapters are active in Jehlum, Deena, Sohawa, Sarai Alamgir, Gujrat, Kharian and Lala Moosa where they have set up receptions camps and taking out rallies and holding corner meeting to mobilize people for the grand reception they are planning to give to former Prime Minister on his way to Lahore.
The former prime minister is expected to leave his Punjab House camp office around 10am today and will travels through the twin cities to Rawat, the first stop on his decidedly political journey on the GT Road.
