Poverty Drives Man To Jump in Lake With 4 Children, Girl Saved

Rahim Yar Khan: Poverty drove a man to jump into Abbasia canal after pushing his three children in the waters in Kotsamaba area here.

One of the four children, a girl Sania, was saved from drowning but it is feared that the jobless poor father and his three children drowned to death dues to absence of timely rescue. A milk seller saved Sania from near airport after hearing her shrieks and rushed her to hospital.

The poor father and three children remain missing still and efforts are underway for recovery.

According to details the family at the centre of suicide and forced suicide hails from Haroonabad. The children were visiting their maternal aunt in Kotsamaba while their father had come to the area two days ago to take children back to home.

The man named Yaseen, five-year-old Zain, seven-year-old Ali Zain, and 10-year-old Misha are yet been found.

Area residents said that had rescue operations begun during the night the innocents lives might had been saved while Rescue sources attributed darkness of night for not initiating the search which would be initiated at dawn.
