Protests Break Out Countrywide Over Trump’s Decision


Islamabad/Lahore (December 07, 2017): Muslims across the world, including Pakistan, have warned of disastrous consequences after President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital as hundreds of thousand people took to the streets and expressed their anger.

Condemnation of Trump’s move poured in from all capitals of Islamic countries over Trump’s announcement, which could ignite violent protests across the Islamic world.Islamabad: The major political parties have condemned the Trump’s decision while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has submitted adjournment motion in National Assembly against the Us decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel capital.

The adjournment motions were submitted by Arif Alvi form PTI and Sahibzada Tariqullah from JI saying that Trump’s decision is the violation of rules of international justice and UN resolutions.

“The US step has severely damaged the emotions of the Muslima Ummah, therefore halting the proceeding of the parliament the issue should be taken under debate.

Lahore: The Defa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) has staged a sit-in in Lahore and announced the countrywide strike tomorrow, Friday.

Addressing to participants Maulana Tahir Ashrafi and other religious scholars denounced the Trump’s step and said he has crushed the international laws under his feet.

The religious scholars demanded the closure of US embassies in Pakistan till the annul of the decision.

Peshawar: A demonstration was staged under the banner of Milli Muslim League in Peshawar to condemn the US decision shifting of his embassy to Jerusalem. The protesters have burned the effigy Donald Trump and US flag.

They have placards and banners inscribed with the slogans against US and Trump as they also changed slogans and announced more protest on Friday.
