PTI celebrates ‘Thanksgiving Day’ today



ISLAMABAD: To celebrate Supreme Court’s verdict in Panama Papers Case, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday will be commemorating Thanksgiving Day by holding a public meeting in Islamabad.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan will address the gathering which will be held at Islamabad’s Parade Ground.

The administration of the federal capital gave green signal to the party for holding the rally.

Strict security measures have been taken to assure no untoward incident takes place during the occasion.

Approximately 1600 security personnel of Islamabad Police will be deployed at Parade Ground.

Every person attending the public meeting will be searched thrice whereas they will also have to go through a walkthrough gate as well.

Arrangements are being given final touches. A giant screen has been set up in front of the main stage.

It should be noted that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualified over not disclosing the asset details of FZE Company while filing nomination papers for the elections.

The Supreme Court had ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file references against Nawaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar and Captain Safdar within 6 weeks and to decide these cases within 6 months. References are also to be filed against Mr Sharif’s children.
