Lahore (August 3, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to approach Election Commission seeking removal of ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif as the president of PMLN.
The petition will be filed by Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed.
According to sources PTI’s legal team has completed the preparations which would be filed after the approval of party chairman Imran Khan.
Mahmood-ur-Rasheed says that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s nomination in the meeting chaired by disqualified and ousted Nawaz Sharif was also unconstitutional and illegal because the five-member bench of Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz for life for not being Honest and Trustworthy by 5-0 verdict.
When Nawaz Sharif could not even be a member of any political party in what capacity is he leading PMLN as party president, Mahmood added.
