Qadri returns: With Nawaz gone, TuQ sets his sight on Shehbaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri will arrive in the country on Tuesday morning to muster support against the government and with Nawaz Sharif disqualified, has his sight set on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Scores of PAT workers and supporters were geared up in the Old City to greet Tahir-ul-Qadri. Dr Qadri will arrive in the city and will travel from Lahore airport to Mall Road.

From there, he is expected to travel to Nasir Bagh ground to address party workers and supporters upon his return to the country.

According to a senior leader of the party, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri will arrive in Lahore at 7 am on Tuesday morning.

According to supporters of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, his arrival in the country will put added pressure on the perpetrators of the Model Town massacre and the movement to bring them to accountability will gain momentum.

Qadri on Monday warned Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif that he would be held accountable for the murder of 14 innocent people killed in the Model Town Massacre in June 2014.

Qadri had also participated with PTI chief Imran Khan during the anti-government 2014 sit-in protests at D-Chowk in Islamabad.
