Quetta(November 14, 2017): Different parts of Balochistan, including Quetta received first winter rain on Monday night. The first winter rain has soared the cold weather across the province.
According to the details, It is raining in Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Ziarat, Killa Abdullah and other parts of Balochistan. While snowfall was recorded in Ziarat.
Earlier, heavy thunder rains lashed the areas along the Pak-Iran border and resulted in flash floods in mountainous terrain of nearby areas in Balochistan province in the morning.
The flash floods in mountainous areas in Pak-Iran borer have inundated the roads thereby leaving them less accessible in turn causing hardships to motorists. Rain is also reported in different parts of Punjab and Sindh on Monday.
It is pertinent to mention here that the met office predicted rain in most areas of the country over the next three days starting today.
According to Meteorological Department thunder showers are expected to lash parts of Balochistan , Kgyber Pakhtwankhwa (KPK) province, federal capital Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.Met office said that a Strong westerly wave has entered in Balochistan. The Met Department has forecasted that during the next 24 hours scattered rain- thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected in Balochistan including Quetta, KP, FATA, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while isolated rain-thunderstorm in D.G.Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Karachi, Sukkur and Larkana divisions. Dense foggy/smoggy conditions are expected in plain areas of Punjab during Morning hours.
