KARACHI: MQM’s Rabita Committee agreed on Saturday to accept all demands of party’s head Dr Farooq Sattar after a week-long rift.
According to a source privy to the development, Rabita Committee has approved a proposal to reinstate Kamran Tessori as the party’s deputy convener.
Tessori was suspended as a member of Rabita Committee after Dr Farooq Sattar recommended his name as a candidate for the Senate’s elections.
The move to reinstate Tessori comes shortly after Rabita Committee members met Dr Farooq Sattar and persuaded him to join the Bahadurabad office and lead the party.
Speaking on this occasion, Amir Khan announced that he would never become the party’s convener.
It is not yet clear whether party has agreed to Dr Farooq Sattar’s demand to award a Senate ticket to Tessori.
