Web Desk(February 10, 2018): Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ made its way to the audience after being embroiled in controversy for months. Even after the release of the film, it continues to make headlines, courtesy its lead stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
There have been many reports of cold vibes brewing between Shahid and Ranveer of late. After Shahid claimed in an interview that he felt like an outsider on the sets of ‘Padmaavat’ and that he could have done the role of ‘Khilji’ in a different way, Ranveer reportedly regrets making a similar statement on Shahid’s film earlier on Karan Johar’s chat show.
According to reports, Ranveer confessed to being very arrogant in his initial days in Bollywood. In retrospect, he realises that it is not something that he should have said and that he regrets saying that he could have done ‘Kaminey’ better than Shahid.
Although all the three actors of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ received an equal share of appreciation from audience and critics, actor Shahid Kapoor had recently gone on record to say that he felt like an outsider on the sets of ‘Padmaavat’.
Reacting to the same, Ranveer reportedly said that he did his best to welcome him and be a supportive actor. However, this was Shahid’s first costume drama and according to Ranveer a costume drama has its own set of unique challenges which he reportedly had faced during ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and it takes some time to get adapted to it. He reportedly feels Shahid might be reacting to that.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have worked with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ earlier. However, this was the first time Shahid Kapoor worked with the ace filmmaker.Ranveer Singh, who is seen essaying the character of Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’, has expressed his feelings about the film through a Twitter post.
The post shared by the actor read, “I saw Padmaavat in 3D last night. I am so overwhelmed with the film at this point that words fail me. I feel immensely blessed.
