Remove Atif, Rahat’s Voice from Bollywood Songs: Indian Politician


Web-Desk (February 19, 2018): Babul Supriyo, an Indian Politician and Union minister has called for removal of Rahat Fateh Ali khan’s voice from a song of upcoming movie ‘Welcome to New York’ for being Pakistani.

The singer-turned politician asks that Rahat’s voice from ‘Dil Mein Chubhne Laga Hai Khaar Koyi’ to be removed and dubbed by someone else from India.

Supriyo said he is not in favour of cross-border entertainment exchange in a time when tensions between the two countries are high.He further expressed his dislike for Atif Aslam song ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’, saying Arijit could have done a better job.

Supriyo went on to say that India has no problem with Atif or Rahat, but with their Pakistani nationality.
