The residents of Tehkal area in Peshawar staged on Monday a protest demonstration against the provincial authorities’ failure to control the spread of dengue epidemic, Radio Pakistan reported.
The protesters criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government for, what they claimed, not taking any appropriate measures to protect the people against the viral disease.
The K-P government has constantly been facing criticism for its ‘response’ to the dengue outbreak in the province.
Earlier, the Peshawar High Court had declared the PTI-led government’s response to dengue as ‘worst’.
According to reported statistics, so far over 30 people have become victim to the lethal disease.
