Russia’s space corporation Roscosmos plans to launch a television service, which would operate 24 hours a day, the organization’s press service head told Sputnik,
“I do not rule out that in the near future the capacities of our tv studio will be used to create some kind of Roscosmos television. Maybe at the beginning it will not operate around the clock, but later, why not. There is NASA TV after all. We are already taking first steps in this direction,” Vladimir Ustimenko said.
NASA television broadcasts on the official website of the organization in 24-hour format. However, it is divided into broadcast for the media and the general public. It covers all the events in which NASA takes part, including launches, docking, press conferences, the life of the crew on the International Space Station. In addition, there is a separate broadcast overlooking Earth from space.
Roscosmos TV-Studio was established on January 11, 2005. It is engaged in production of documentaries, television programs, carries out live broadcasts of missile launches.
