Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan has said on Sunday that rulers gain off unchecked corruption, not nation.

He addressed a rally in Sialkot and in his speech he said that corrupt country could not progress. He said that Pakistan would lose its freedom if more loans are piled up one after the other. Khan said that Pakistan was progressing at a rate faster than that of Singapore in the past.

Only eradication of corruption would lead the country to development, he added. PTI chief said that the rulers fear accountability because they are guilty.

The nation stands at decisive crossroads, he said.

Khan said that there are 13 cases in National Accountability Bureau against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that nations that develop strengthen their institutions. Strong institutions attract foreign investment, he added.

PTI chief said that for the first time in Pakistan, around 34,000 young Khyber Pakhtunkhwa students shifted from private institutions to government schools.

He said that ‘Mera Ghar’ project is facilitating children who used to beg on the streets.

Khan admitted that he did not have experience the first time around. Foreign investors abstain from financing projects in Pakistan out of ‘jungle’s rule’ here.

Earlier, tourists used to be reluctant to come to KP however, the situation is different now, Khan claimed.
