Saad Urges PPP, PTI to Cooperate for Passing Delimitation Bill


Lahore (November 04, 2017): Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has urged Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and PTI to cooperate with government in the proposed legislation for delimitation of constituencies.

Talking to media in Lahore, Saad said that Nawaz Sharif was appearing before the accountability court despite serious reservations.

To a question he said that Nawaz will also appear in the next hearing, saying that skipping the court hearing was out of question.

He said that if the draft constitutional bill was not passed within time then the next general elections could be delayed.

He said that everyone knew what was Imran’s agenda, but Zardari was working on an unknown agenda.

He said that he wanted to give advise to Zardari Sahib and those holding public meetings they should come forward and pass the delimitation bill so that next election could be held in time.

Terming the attitude of PPP and PTI as non-democratic, he said that Punjab accepted the result of population census despite the fact it would have to cede 9 National Assembly seats to other provinces.

He said that the right to elected their ruler should rest with the people and it should not be take away.
