Karachi (June 08, 2018): Dr. Saadia Virk Rizvi has been appointed as minister for Sindh in the caretaker provincial cabinet and she will assume her office after the oath-taking ceremony today.
Dr. Saadia Virk Rizvi is a graduate of the Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Lahore, and did her specialisation from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, London in 1994.She came back to Pakistan in 1997, and started practicing in Karachi. With the objective of providing the highest quality of medical facilities to the people of Pakistan, she then collected a group of top specialists around her and went on to build a hospital at Clifton, Karachi.
She is one of the pioneers of Laproscopic Surgery in the field of Gynaecology in Pakistan, and is well known for her skills in designing and managing health facilities.
The Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh Fazal-ur-Rahman has included eight names in his cabinet.
According to details, Khair Muhammad Junejo, Mushtaq Yousaf, Raheem Bux Buzdar, Jamil Yousaf, Dr Junaid Shah, Colonel(R) Dost Muhammad Chandeo, Dr Sadia Rizvi and Simon Daniel will be the part of the provincial cabinet.
