Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, in a recent interview, disclosed the amount of money he received as salary for his first ever gig and the details will leave you shocked.
When Salman Khan joined the entertainment industry at first, he did not enjoy the celebrity status that he has at present. The Bollywood superstar revealed in his latest interview that his first ever gig was dancing on stage and for that he received Rs 75.
“My first salary was, I think, about Rs 75. I was dancing behind in some show in Taj hotel. One of my friends was dancing there so he took me (and I did it) just for fun.”
It must be borne in mind that Salman Khan secured the second spot on the Forbes list of the ‘Highest Paid Actors in Bollywood’ for the year 2017.
Slowly but surely, the actor gained prominence and secured more gigs which led to a higher payscale.
“Then it went up to Rs 750 for Campa Cola (a soft drink brand) and then it was Rs 1,500 for the longest time. Then I got paid Rs 31,000 for ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, which was then increased to Rs 75,000 later,” he added.
Talking about returning to the hit show Bigg Boss, Salman said that he had made the decision since he knew it was something that he could pull off.
“There are other really good shows but I don’t think they are of my format. I don’t think I’ll be able to pull that off. I know I can pull this one off,” he said.
