KARACHI: MQM-P leader Salman Mujahid Baloch failed to produce evidence supporting his allegations against the woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her, on Thursday.
According to a report prepared by Gulshan-e-Iqbal police, Salman Mujahid failed to produce evidence to back up the claims that he had made in the case registered against Aleena, the woman who had accused him of sexually assaulting her.
Gulshan-e-Iqbal police have declared in the report that it is a Class C case and recommended it be thrown out. The report was submitted to the prosecution.
The prosecution will scrutinize the report and then discuss its findings with the court.
The report prepared by Gulshan-e-Iqbal police claimed that during the investigation of the case filed by Salman Mujahid, evidence against Aleena was not found.
The report further stated that Salman Mujahid Baloch had not extended his cooperation in the investigation pertaining to the case filed by him.
Salman Mujahid Baloch, a leader of MQM-Pakistan, had filed a case against Aleena for allegedly issuing him death threats and fraudulent practices.
The MQM-P leader had claimed in the FIR that Aleena had lied to him about her mother being a patient of cancer and as an excuse, obtained rupees four million from him.
Salman claimed that she issued him death threats after failing to make the payment.
The case had been registered against Aleena by Salman Mujahid Baloch at Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station on January 1, 2018.
