ISLAMABAD: The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) marked its silver jubilee on Friday.
The anniversary celebrations, clubbed with Pakistan’s 70th Independence Day celebrations, were marked with a firm resolve and commitment to continue contributing to sustainable socio-economic policies in Pakistan and to benefit the entire region by providing quality research and solutions in diverse developmental issues.
SDPI Executive Director Dr Abid Qayyum Suleri at the special ceremony said that it was a moment of pride for the institute which had won global acknowledgement and credence for its work.
“We have been, and we want to remain part of the solution rather than merely criticise and point out flaws, especially related to different issues of sustainable development at our national horizon,” Dr Suleri said.
He said SDPI had always ensured the element of neutrality and the institute was not only respected by all the quarters involved.
