Four suspected militants were killed in an exchange of fire in Awaran District on Sunday.
According to Balochistan Levies sources, an exchange of fire took place between security forces and the suspected militants in Gishkur area of Awaran district. Four militants were killed as a result, they said.
The militants’ bodies were shifted to Awaran hospital for identification. Three of them were identified as Abdul Majeed, Mohammad Hasil and Sadiq. The fourth could not be identified.
On May 22 this year, four suspected militants were killed and two were arrested in during a search operation in Awaran launched as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fassad. Many hideouts and camps of the militants were destroyed in that operation. A huge quantity of arms and ammunition was also recovered.
