Lahore (August 11, 2017): The security plan for the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif rally and its route in Lahore has been finalized as heavy traffic banned on the route.
The former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will reach Lahore leading a rally first time through GTR while Punjab government has made foolproof security arrangements for rally’s security.
Security forces has increased raids in various areas ahead of Nawaz Sharif rally.
Eight thousands police personnel and two thousands traffic policemen will be deployed on the route of the rally in Lahore. The police contingency from Sahiwal, Khanewal, Multan, Vehari and other districts of Punjab has also been called.
CCPO Lahore told that 8000 police personnel will be deployed on route while aerial vigilance will also be conducted during the rally.
200 volunteers will surrounds VIPs as concern SSPs will in contact with Nawaz Sharif chief security officer. PML-N will provide list of the leaders, who will present on stage during the rally, to police while four control rooms will be set up at Shahdara, Shafique Abad, Ravi Road and Shahdara Town.
Five control rooms will be set up at various points for monitoring rally.
Traffic police has also planned alternative routes for the rally to avoid traffic mess. Two thousands traffic police personnel will be deployed to make sure traffic flow while normal traffic and metro bus service will be suspended during the rally.
To make sure fool proof security, police has conducted full dress rehearsal on the route of the rally. The Elite Force and Dolphin Force personnel took part in the rehearsal.
