ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Monday adopted a resolution asking the government to preserve the culture and heritage of the people of Kalash, Chitral, and making arrangements for inclusion of that area in the UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The resolution was tabled by Senator Farhat Ullah Babar which was unanimously adopted by the house.
The house recommended that the government should take necessary steps to preserve the culture and heritage of the people of Kalash, Chitral and to make arrangements for inclusion of that area in UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Moved by Senator Ch Tanveer Khan, the Senate also adopted another resolution to congratulate the cricket team and the whole nation on its victory against India in the final match of ICC Champions Trophy, 2017.
The house appreciated the performance of the players, team management and Pakistan Cricket Board. – APP
