Karachi (April 21, 2018): The Sindh High Court on Saturday stopped National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arrest of secretary local government Sindh Ramzan Awan in corruption allegations and summoned NAB with detailed report over the issue.
The secretary local government Sindh Ramzan Awan approached SHC in apprehension of arrest after recovery of huge cash and gold from his personal secretary Ramzan Solangi’s home and requested for protective bail.The court admitting his plea granted him protective bail and summoned NAB and ordered submission of report in this connection.
In his request Ramzan awan said that he was accused of corruption in remand documents of Ramzan Solangi as he has no link with the cash recovered from Solangis’ residence.
On April 19, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recovered a large sum of cash, gold bars, gold jewellery and prize bonds from the residence of Ramzan Solangi — personal assistant to the Sindh local government secretary.The anti-graft watchdog discovered the valuables after Solangi told the team that arrested him that they will be able to find the assets at his residence.
The valuables include Rs31.5 million in cash, prize bonds worth Rs1.8 million, gold bars worth 100 tolas, gold jewellery, precious watches and other valuables.
