NEWS DESK: Sugar is one thing we can’t do without – knowingly or unknowingly. Of course, we can still ditch cakes, chocolates and sugary beverages, but what about the more benevolent sources like fruits? Is it possible to stay off them for three weeks? Well, Shilpa Shetty Kundra did, and not just sugar, she stayed away from gluten and dairy too! The fit mommy posed a challenge to her fitness freak fans to #DitchTheSugar. She made it easier for us as she reduced the duration from three to two weeks and focused only on sugar. But considering our addiction, that’s still not even close to being easy-peasy!
Shilpa posted a promised video on Instagram to her fans from London (well, three technically), calling them to take the challenge with her, reported Times of India. She had been sticking to her sugar, gluten and dairy-free diet for a week already and for the next two weeks, she wanted to do it with the challengers.
Calling it #ShilpaKaMantra, she posted the rules for #DitchTheSugar challengers to set it straight for them.
To keep people going, here’s some reverse logic the svelte mommy applied. If benefits of withdrawal don’t entice you, the dangers of addiction can sure put you off.
Here’s how #DitchTheSugar worked for Shilpa as she shares the results of ditching sugar. “Very few things can change your body the way sugar does. Giving it is up is tough but the rewards are worth it. And once you see the new you, you’ll never want to go back,” she captioned her post on Instagram.
And that indeed is showing as the hot mommy is looking slender with a skin that’s beautifully radiant!
As the challenge concluded two days ago, Shilpa finally had her Sunday binge after three weeks by indulging in a carrot cake at New York! That’s indeed a really “sweet fruit of patience”!
