KARACHI: The Sindh government on Thursday banned Juma congregations across the province as only three to five persons of the mosque can perform prayer.

According to spokesperson government of Sindh, after the recommendations of the experts and the doctors, the decision of banning large gathering in Juma prayer has been banned.

“After the consultation with religious scholars and within government ranks, the decision has been taken while the five prayers of the day will also follow the same pattern,” Murtaza Wahab said.

He said that the ban will continue from March 27 to April 5.
