Rawalpindi (September 30, 2017): A soldier and two other civilians, including a woman were killed as Indian troops resorted to unprovoked cease fire violation along Line of Control in Rakhchikri, Rawalakot targeting civil population with heavy weapons, said Inter Services Public Relations.
Army patrol team of Pakistan Army, assisting evacuation of civilians also came under Indian firing, which resulted into Martyrdom of Naib Subedar Nadeem. While three other soldiers and a civilian suffered injuries in the attack. Pakistan Army troops gave a befitting response to Indian army posts which engaged civil population. There have been reports of casualties on the Indian side of the LoC, said the ISPR.
This is the second ceasefire violation by the Indian forces during the last 72 hours. Earlier on Wednesday, one civilian embraced martyrdom and four others were wounded after Indian forces resorted to unprovoked fire in Nakyal sector in Azad Kashmir. The Pakistan Army had inflicted casualties and heavy losses on the Indian posts in retaliation.
