Terrorists Safe Havens Have Been Wiped: COAS


Rawalpindi (December 4, 2017): The army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has clarified on US leadership that Pakistan has rooted out the terrorists safe havens from Pakistan soil and playing a role of responsible partner in war against terrorism, ISPR release said.

According to ISPR Mattis met with high-ranking officials from Pakistan Army, including army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and ISI chief Lt-General Naveed Mukhtar. Both sides agreed to removed the reservations in bilateral ties and joint efforts to eliminate terrorism.

“Pakistan had done more from its share and sources in war against terrorism and will continue play its role in dispensation of peace in the region in future as well,” Army Chief said.

He expressed deep concerns over India’s attempt to use of Afghanistan soil against Pakistan. He also mentioned earnest need to respectable return of Afghan refugees to their homes. Army Chief also hailed the US efforts for the restoration of peace in the region.

On the occasion, US Defence Secretary lauded the Pakistan military role in war against terrorism and offered US ready to remove Pakistan concern regarding US.

He turned down do more demands and said that do more demand was not included in US objectives.
