ISLAMABAD: Turkey has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to bring down tensions between Iran and the US and assured Islamabad of its complete support in regional peace endeavours.
The assurance was given by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavusoglu during a telephonic conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Turkish Foreign Minister apprised Shah Mahmood Qureshi of his analysis of the situation after a recent visit to Iraq.
Foreign Minister Qureshi informed his Turkish counterpart of his telephonic contact with Iraqi foreign minister.
He also informed Mevlüt Çavusoglu of his upcoming visits to Iran, Saudi Arabia and the US to reduce tensions in the Middle East.
The Turkish Foreign Minister also condemned the terrorist incident in Quetta and expressed grief over the loss of precious lives.
He also expressed solidarity with Pakistan on behalf of his government.
