ISLAMABAD: Two candidates have thrown their hats in the ring for the NA-120 by-election, the seat vacated after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was ousted by the Supreme Court last month.

While Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has fielded Dr Yasmeen Rashid as its candidate for the constituency, the PML-N has not yet announced its contender. However, it is speculated that either Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of former premier, or his daughter Maryam Nawaz will contest the by-election.
