MULTAN: Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani said that the aid that the United States had provided Pakistan with was for the losses that the country had sustained due to the War on Terror.
Speaking to media personnel in Multan, Gillani said that no one should be allowed to insult Pakistan at any cost. He said that the aid from the United States was not a favour but had been provided since Pakistan had suffered losses due to it.
“Pakistan suffered huge losses in the War on Terror,” he said. “At no cost will we tolerate the insult of Pakistan,” he added.
Gillani was referring to President Donald Trump’s recent comments in which he criticised Pakistan for allegedly harbouring militants and containing safe havens for terrorists and criminals.
