US Small Plane Crash in Los Vegas Leaves Three Dead

WASHINTON: A single-engine plane crashed Tuesday night outside Las Vegas, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

Police spokesman Lt. Brian Boxler said reports came in of a crash near Gass Peak around 5:30 p.m. local time.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the plane to be a single-engine Cirrus SR22.

Initial reports said three people — believed to be civilians — were aboard and Boxler said the search and rescue team determined the crash “was not survivable” and no rescue effort would be made.

The North Las Vegas Fire Department said it has one plane unaccounted for but did not know if that was the plane that crashed.

Authorities told ABC 13 the investigation would begin Wednesday.
