KARACHI: It was norm to ask for ransom after making someone hostage but now new way has been introduced as thieves demanded a ransom amount after stealing a vehicle.

The thieves stole a double cabin vehicle from Clifton block 2 and demanded for ransom to return back the vehicle.

According to the SSP anti-car lifting cell the double cabin vehicle of a citizen named Raheel Khwaja has been stolen from the car parking in Clifton block 2 on January 2. The owner of vehicle received a call from the thieves asking a ransom amount of Rs half million for return of the vehicle.

However, Anti Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) taking action has arrested two of the accused involved in the incident and also recovered the vehicle.

According to the ACLC, plaintiff employee and his friend were involved in the crime while accused Zohaib Pervez and Adam are criminals and they have arrested before for their crimes in the past.
