According to details, residents of Hayatabad in Rawalpindi have no other option but to put their lives on the line everyday and cross this wooden bridge in poor shape.

This dangerous bridge has claimed lives once as three children have already fallen inside the nullah underneath it and their bodies haven’t yet been retrieved.

This is the sole access point for the people of Hayatabad hence thousands are forced to cross it on a daily basis and put their lives on the line.

Residents have time and again requested elected representatives from the area to install a more solid bridge yet their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.

Deputy Mayor of Rawalpindi Chaudhry Tariq is fully aware of the dangerous bridge but leaves the remedy to the near future.
