ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami chief Siraj-u-Haq said on Friday that till all Pakistanis who were named in the Panama Papers were not held accountable, democracy would not succeed in Pakistan.
Reacting to news of Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification, Siraj-ul-Haq said that this is not the destination but just the beginning.
“We want accountability of all the 436 looters and dacoits named in the Panama Papers,” he said. “Today we will celebrate Yaum-e-Tashakur and tomorrow we will mark Yaum-e-Azam,” he added.
Siraj said that politics and democracy in the country would not be strengthened till there was accross-the-board accountability in the country.
