Will Not Let Zardari To Remain Politically Alive: Imran

Hyderabad (April 06, 2018): The chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan alleged that Asif Ali Zardari plundered wealth of Sindh and transferred it to abroad but he would not let him to remain politically alive.

Addressing to women convention in Hyderabad, he said that Sind has been facing maximum poverty in the country.

“Sindh has been placed behind the Nigeria  in poverty, however rulers are busy in looting national exchequer,” he claimed.

The PTI chairman said that in the upcoming elections, the ruling party in Sindh will be defeated.

He also termed the tax amnesty scheme announced by the government on Thursday a slap on the face of honest people.

Earlier, talking to media in Hyderabad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Friday rejected amnesty scheme for the non-taxpayers and announced to challenge it in the court.

Imran said 57% of the budget allocated to Punjab has been spent on Lahore only.

He said that the amenesity scheme has been introduced to favor thieves. He has directed the leaders to raise the issue at every forum.

Lashing out at ex-prime minister, Imran Khan said that Nawaz Sharif has incited people against government institutions. He said that Sindhis have also decided to not vote Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) this time.

The entire budget allocated for Punjab is spent by one person, Shehbaz Sharif, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan, accusing the province’s chief minister for using the funds for development work in a select few areas.He further criticised the Sharifs saying they were fooling the public. The PTI chief said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif points fingers at institutions while Shehbaz praises them. Imran was referring to Shehbaz’s recent statement on the chief of army staff, in which he called the latter a professional and straightforward person.

About Sindh, where Pakistan Peoples Party is in power, Imran said its condition was the worst among all four provinces.

The level of poverty is the highest in Sindh where PPP Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari and his sister were subjecting people to torture, the PTI chief said. Therefore, he added, people of the province have decided to get rid of PPP.Imran said Nawaz, Zardari and Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif were involved in money laundering. The illegal transfer of money was plunging the country deeper into loans, he added.

During his news conference, Imran also condemned the Kunduz attacks saying such incidents will lead to anarchy. He added the US attacks in Afghanistan were adding to the problem.

“The Asif Ali Zardari is major obstacle in Sindh’s progress and after the Nawaz Sharif it is Zardari’s turn of accountability,” he said while addressing a public gathering in Nawabshah during party membership campaign on Thursday.

He said that Zardari was the responsible for the deteriorating living conditions of people in the province as Zardari and company oppressed people and prey them with revenge by joining hands with police.

“However no single person can say any revengeful action done in Khyber Pukhtunkhawa,” he claimed adding that Asif Zardari has no relation with Bhutto family like captain Safdar with Sharif family.

Calling the people of Sindh, he said that the long night of cruelty was going to over and soon a peaceful new down just on the rise.He said that no example could be found across the country of the oppression faced by the people of Sindh. Imran compared the province’s situation with Balochistan, stating that the latter had better living conditions than Sindh.

The PTI chief alleged that the local leaders were habitual of using the police force against the common man.

“But the people of Sindh should not worry,” he said. “This dark night will end for a new era to dawn.”He challenged the PPP co-chairman that he was going to contest elections from Zardari’s voter-stronghold. Taking a jibe at Zardari’s marriage into the Bhutto family, Imran said that the PPP leader was to the Bhutto family what Captain (retd) Safdar was to the Nawaz family.

He said that the wealth of Sindh was stolen and transferred abroad. He said that poverty in Sindh was much higher than that of Balochistan.

He said that both Nawaz and Zardari had exploited the poor and down-trodden people of Punjab and Sindh, respectively.
