Lahore (August 28, 2017): Security plan for the World XI tour of Pakistan has been chalked out to provide the visitors the security of the same level as that of the president. This include aerial watching of the ground and monitoring each and every movements of the two teams.
The security plans were finalized at the high level meeting held yesterday which was the attended by authorities of Punjab government, Pakaistan Cricket Board,a nd personnel of the security agencies.
The Army Chief, prime minister, and chief minister Punjab will be invited to watch the matches.
World XI will arrive in Lahore from Dubai on September 11 to play three T-20 matches- on September 12, 13, 1nd 15.
The fool-proof security arrangements include deputing 10,000 security personnel and commandos in and around the stadium and plainclothesmen in the ground.
In addition to the CCTV cameras installed for the final of the Pakistan Super League 10 more cameras will be installed while barbwire will also be laid down all around the ground so as not to let anyone enter the ground.
Three routes are planned to take the visitors from hotel to stadium.
Invitation to watch the match in person will be extended to Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in person and he would also be requested to provide help in security. Invitations will also be extended Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to watch the watch in person.
Invitation cards to Board officials of all the Test members of the ICC will be dispatched ina day or two. The repairs of the chairs and the renovation and decoration of the two dressing rooms will start from tomorrow.
